Al-Asbat Gate
The only open gate in the Eastern Wall. It’s not the same Asbat Gate in the Northern Wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The gate was named after the Descendants (Al-Asbat). It was built during the Mamluk era and restored in the time of the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman Al-Qanouni. It is also called Bab Sitna Maryam and Bab Al-Aswad.
