The Moroccans’ Jihad During the Time of Saladin

When the Moroccans were called for Jihad, the Moroccan cities and suburbs mobilized. Thousands of volunteers from the cities and villages flocked, with their riding animals, luggage, money, and all of what they had, and made up 25% of Saladin’s army in the Battle of Hattin. Back then, they lived and settled in the Palestinian cities, including Jerusalem.
